I am trying to use networkShareMounter, freshly installed on macOS 15.0.2 and 15.0.3 – and there’s no GUI, the icon shows on the system bar, but that’s all it does. Having the app installed on macOS 14, and upgrading to macOS 15 seems to keep it alive, but a fresh install of the 3.1.0 app (and upgrading to 3.1.1) doesn’t restore functionality.
Hope you can assist,
Alex

Thank you for your message and for providing detailed information about the issue. We will attempt to reproduce the problem on our end to better understand what might be causing it.
In the meantime, could you please try testing the latest version of macOS 15? Versions 15.0.2 and 15.0.3 are outdated, and it’s possible the issue has already been addressed in a recent macOS update - if it's not a NSM related issue.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. Please let us know if you experience the same behavior after updating.

I'll try to summarize what I understood from your email: You launch the NSM (Network Share Mounter), and the icon then appears at the top of the screen in the menu. When you click on the icon, no menu appears - so, nothing happens? Are you able to click on the icon, or does the spinning beach ball appear as soon as you hover over the icon in the menu?
Are you using an MDM or a locally generated profile or configuration for the NSM? If so, can you delete or unassign it? The local configuration for the NSM is located in the user home under ~/Library/Preferences/de.fau.rrze.NetworkShareMounter.plist (or de.fau.rrze.NetworkShareMounter.doge.state.plist). Quit the NSM, delete these files, and then kill the cfprefsd (killall cfprefsd). Try restarting the NSM after that. What happens then?
No spinning ball, but also no GUI – I can repeatedly click the icon without any reaction (other than the button press animation while pressing left)
We do use Jamf Pro – first I deleted the local Preference file and killed the cfprefsd, that does not resolve the issue.
When excluding my device from the Configuration Policy, I get prompted for automatic updates, but that is the only GUI that I see.

However, it might take a few days before I can find the time to do so.

Update from my side: on 15.3 (beta RC) – the GUI still doesnt work, unless when I create a managed network share… then all of a sudden the GUI starts working (after a restart of the app)

We have recently encountered a similar issue. We hadn't noticed it because it only occurs when starting with the latest version and no previous version had been installed.
I will address the problem soon.
